Meet the Team

Our Logo

This logo was designed many years ago by Donal Lehane.
The “L” in the logo represents Lehanes, while the “A” symbolises Associates. But there’s more to it than meets the eye! When you observe closely, you’ll notice that the “L” shape bears a striking resemblance to the iconic £ sign used for Irish pounds. Meanwhile, the “A” is ingeniously crafted using a section of the £ symbol.
Although the £ ceased to be a legal currency in Ireland when it was replaced by the € in 2002, we are slow to change it. In an ever-changing world, we have chosen to honour the legacy and preserve the symbolism behind our brand identity, representing our appreciation for our roots, value for our history and the journey that has brought us to where we are today.

Our History

When Donal Lehane, a chartered certified accountant from Kilmichael, opened Lehanes & Associates on July 1st 1979, people said he was mad. Having worked away from West Cork for 13 years, Donal saw a need for an accountancy practice and insurance brokerage in Dunmanway. The first offices were on Main Street in Dunmanway before they moved to Sackville House on Sackville Street in 1989. 2008 saw the Lehane family invest in extensive renovations to the offices at Sackville House.
Now over four decades on, the business has gone from strength to strength. There have been many changes over those years but the core values of Lehanes & Associates remain the same and that is to provide excellent customer service and value to our customers. We offer a number of different services, which include valuations, auctioneering, letting and estate agency. We are also brokers for insurance of all types, to include motor, home, farm and other insurance – we endeavour to get the best quote for you.
